It is a little known biographical fact that Gaetano Capizzi taught informatics for many years at the Istituto tecnico Avogadro di Torino. He created the AvoGreen Group, composed of the Institute’s students and teachers, with a view to raise awareness among school staff about environmental issues. In his memory the Group founded the Scatti Sostenibili photography competition. The photos taken by the students deal with water, plastic, waste, energy saving, and mobility.
The initiative is promoted jointly by CinemAmbiente and Arpa Piemonte.
