Now in its fifth year, the competition is addressed to schools (1-12) with the invitation to create short films on environmental issues: atmospheric pollution, conservation of biodiversity, sustainable development, climate crisis. The topic “environment” is broadly defined so that students can use their creativity to explore the issues they think are especially important.
During the awards ceremony, The Tribe of Lights, produced by Iren in collaboration with Giffoni Innovation Hub, will be screened.
JURY:
Cristina Colet
Co-director of the Sottodiciotto Film Festival & Campus, she collaborates with AIACE Torino in the organization of film events and educational projects. She is adjunct professor, Chair of Cinema and Communication Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, and research fellow, Dept. Humanities, University of Torino.
Carlo Griseri
Journalist and film critic, curator of Cinemaitaliano.info and creator of Agenda del Cinema, Turin, he writes for Kontainer16 and Nocturno. Since 2018 he is artistic director of Seeyousound International Music Film Festival and since 2021 he is trustee of the Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta chapter of the Italian Film Critics Union (SNCCI). He authoredRitratte – Storie di donne che hanno scelto il cinema (ed. Capovolte, 2023). He is film critic for the TV program Cinematografo on channel Rai 1, season 2023-2024.
Paolo Silingardi
President of the Achab Group, an agency working in social innovation and environmental education and communication, he deals with social processes, incentive systems, and start-up companies in door-to-door waste collection. He creates formats currently in place in many towns such as Capitan Eco, EcoAttivi, Ecoquiz, and Scuolapark. He has authored: Il rapporto Dryas (2009), an eco-thriller about climate change, Evoluzione. Riflessioni postume di un Australopiteco (2019), and an illustrated story Raggio e Plin. In viaggio alla scoperta di un mondo fantastico (2020).
