The CinemAmbiente Festival continues with the fourth day, with movies and special events.
It started at 10.00 am, at the Circolo dei lettori, with a panel discussion titled Parole e immagini: percorsi di divulgazione scientifica exploring the ways, times and tools by which researchers can answer the need to express themselves and their work to the public, in collaboration with Premio Fasolo.
During the day the many screenings scheduled as well as panels, for instance, the eco-talk Biodiversità e conservazione del wildlife (3.30 pm – Cinema Massimo) focused on the wildlife preservation in Africa, and narrated by those who work in the field; and the panel discussion Città dove vivere meglio. Esempi di transizione ecologica urbana, all about analysing new potential residential areas, not so difficult to imagine, but difficult to realise without structural and courageous interventions (5.30 pm – Circolo dei lettori).
A special appointment of the evening was the screening of the mesmerizing Fungi: Web of Life, by Joseph Nizeti and Gisela Kaufmann, with Björk’s narrating voice, which took place in the stunning setting of the Aula del Tempio – Mole Antonelliana and was followed by a talk with Mariangela Girlanda, expert plant ecologist and mycologist from the University of Turin and Vincenzo Guarnieri, biochemist and science speaker.
