Luca Mercalli’s “The Point” is one of the festival’s unmissable events (Tuesday, on June 7th, 8.30 p.m, Cinema Massimo – Sala Cabiria) which outlines the health status of the planet. This year it will also cross paths with the most recent world-changing events, analyzing the environmental consequences of the war. The report put together by the renowned meteorologist will focus mainly on the outcomes of the Russo-Ukrainian war regarding the international environmental politics and the delays – or even sudden turnarounds – imposed by the conflict on the barely begun ecological transition, which would need peace rather than being penalized by the dismission of funds and resources in favor of a general arms race.
